Important update to the existing Medicare Child Dental Benefit Schedule:
On 23 April 2016, the Australian Government announced its intention to close the Medicare Child Dental Benefit Schedule later on this year.
This program will be replaced with the ‘Child and Adult Public Dental Scheme’, which you can find more information on bit.ly/Ausgov-dental.
In the meantime, if your child has any money left on their $1,000 voucher, you should make sure that it is used as soon as possible before the existing vouchers are cancelled.
Book an appointment with Dr Pedro Gonzalez, Dr Roger Gomez or Dr Anh Le, for your child on 9727 0364, don’t let the remaining balance on your child’s voucher go to waste!
The Child Dental Benefit Schedule
The Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS) is a new dental program for eligible 2-17 year olds that will provide up to $ 1,000.00 in benefits to the patient for basic dental services.
The Child Dental Benefit Schedule replaced the Medicare Teen Dental Plan and is administered by The Australian Government Department of Human Services (Medicare) and does not cover orthodontic or cosmetic dentistry.
Hospital vouchers cover a certain amount of general dental treatment and they are given by the NSW Government through Hospitals and clinics.
We accept Patients covered by the Child Dental Benefit Schedule as well as Hospital vouchers.
